Background & Introduction

Myrtle House has been lovingly restored to its former glory by owners Gill & Alan, who have put their own unique spin on the interior design with an eclectic mix of vintage and modern pieces. Their taste in quirky art, ceramics, retro furnishings and contemporary designers make this a welcoming and boutique holiday home. The history of Myrtle House dates back to Georgian times when it was a merchant's house, then later tall bay windows were added by the Victorians to let the sunlight flood into every room. The property is located on a secluded terrace opposite the lush sub tropical Morrab Gardens in a beautiful conservation area in Penzance. Accommodating eight guests over five floors and benefiting from four en suite bedrooms, stunning sea views, and a private south facing enclosed garden. The garden really belongs to Myrtle, the lifesize cow grazing in the garden - she's quite sweet natured and no trouble - just give her a pat when you're passing and she will be very happy!

Car parking facilities, etc.

There is an allocated space for your car in a secure carpark with electric gates under a minute's walk away - plus on street parking after 6pm. WiFi broadband is throughout the house. There is a shed in the garden for storing surfing gear, etc. Each of the bedrooms have decorative sealed fireplaces but they cannot be used for fires. If you wish to have a fire, we ask that you use the working open fireplace in the sitting room. You are welcome to use anything from the stocks in the kitchen. All we ask is that if you use a lot of something or finish it you replace it or leave some money and a note in the Mini-Myrtle money box in the sitting room please. As you might expect, Myrtle House is a non-smoking house. Please feel free to smoke outside, but remember to pick up any butts and be respectful of the neighbours. Please try not to mark any of the surfaces and keep hot things off the dining room table. Also, please use chopping boards when cooking in the kitchen and be careful around the house as there are a lot of antiques and designer items about! Thank you.
